Personally I don't think there is any such thing as an "ugly" cat. In my eyes all kitties are beautiful when their mysterious feline spirit and essence is revealed. As far as I am concerned all felines are one of the most magnificent creatures in the animal kingdom. First, let’s see UGG Bailey Button for a rest.

This being said, however, according to an article I recently found the other day, in an Exeter, New Hampshire newspaper on line, apparently most folks who visit the Exeter Animal Hospital in Stratham, consider him to be very odd looking, and some even think he is grotesque. The hospital staff is very fond of their resident kitty, and thinks he is adorable. Perhaps his name is influencing strangers adversely in the way they respond to him. This 8 year old kitty is a regular housecat named Ugly Bat Boy, nicknamed "Ugg". See UGG Infant's Erin

A gift from a client, Ugg was veterinarian Dr. Stephen Basset's feline home companion. Dr. Bassett also cared for Ugg's litter sister, who was similar in appearance being mostly hairless sporting a thick brown mane. Sadly to say, the sister did not survive infancy. Bassett was concerned that Ugg was getting bored and unhappy being left alone all day, so he moved him into the clinic where he could hang out with people and other animals, thereby giving him more stimulation and attention.

Christie Hartnett, one of the clinic's veterinary technicians, said that Ugly Bat Boy was named for the mythical character, which dwelled in a cave and was half-bat and half-boy; this legendary character was featured in tabloids around the country. But don't for a moment feel sorry for Ugg. This very unusual looking cat is for sure living the "life of Riley". He spends most of his time on top of the computer monitor in the reception area of the clinic, (a nice warm comfy resting spot) greeting clients in the waiting room. Both clients and staff shower him with attention and affection.

Of course Dr. Bassett also thinks Ugg is beautiful. He is very fond of him. He told news station WBZ-CBS, "He's my cat. I like him!" Interestingly, since Ugg's photograph was widely circulated by the media around the world, it is reported that the Ellen DeGeneres Show is considering featuring him on her show, since he is famous for being the "ugliest cat" in town. While Ugg has already had more than his 15 minutes of fame, I would hate to see him "interviewed" based on his reputation as an ugly cat. If Ugg- UGG Ascot Men's Slippers and his fur dad decide to take Ellen up on her offer, perhaps a more appropriate theme might be how the unconditional love for animals brings them into our hearts through their innate beauty and charm.

I should start by saying that I like Classic Cardy Boots, a lot. I wear my UGG Classic Short Boots for Women all the time. They are a very warm sheep skin boot but I wear them tucked into my jeans because they are too short to stuff pants inside them. They were my very first pair of UGGS (from hubby) and they are chocolate brown and very simple. They keep my feet nice and warm on winter days and I absolutely love them.

As a matter of fact, I loved my Classic Short Classic Mini Boots so much that hubby decided he would buy me another pair of UGGS last winter. He picked them out all by himself and I don’t think that he could have made a better selection. He purchased the UGGS Ultimate Cuff for Women, and I fell in love with them immediately. They are a tan color with a fantastic embroidered material across the top and a sheep skin white cuff. The soles are rubber and hard, unlike the soft soles of the Classics. These are some serious winter boots.

My Ultimate Cuff for Women UGGS is of course made from the twin grade merino sheep skin. They have a suede toe which looks pretty cool. Instead of just being plain and rounded a little piece of suede is stitched around the toe. The soles have what UGGS call ‘heel guard’ and they and very hard and they’re molded. It’s much easier to walk over snow and ice with the Ultimate Cuffs. I tend to slide everywhere with the Classic Shorts.

The braided strip around the top is called ‘Tasman’ and it looks really cool. The white fluffy top is right above the strip, and then there is a suede tie that you can use for a tight fit. To be honest, I hate the suede tie. It might look ok, but it’s always coming undone and then it gets in the wet and makes stains on my boots. However, if you’re diligent on keeping this tied at all times, I suppose you wouldn’t have any problems.

A couple of things about UGGS that one should know before purchasing:

-Don’t wear socks with UGGS
-Always buy a smaller size of UGGS, they will mold to your feet
-‘Ultimate Cuff for Women’ do not come in half sizes so make sure you always buy a half size down
-Buy the UGG cleaner for about $10 USD to help with stains on suede. The stains are basically invisible with the darker colours, but my ‘Ultimate Cuffs’ are beige while I don’t tuck in my Classic UGGS, I do tuck in my ‘Ulitimate Cuffs.’ I don’t even think that you could where them without tucking them in. The top, or ‘the cuff’ is a big roll and it wouldn’t look right with jeans over top of them. I show off these beauties with jeans, a nice North Face jacket or shell and a Coach purse. (I look like every other woman in Johnson County, Kansas) ;) They are part of my standard uniform for winter around these parts!

A couple of other cool things about ‘Ultimate Cuffs’ are that the sole comes is removable and it can be replaced. Also, you might be able to get this on sale since they are last year’s design. Hubby paid about $210 USD but I’ve seen them as cheap as $140 USD online.

These warm, wonderful shoes and their review contribute to the Soles for Souls benefit being hosted by Epinions. Find out more about this promotion in the Epinions’ Member Center. Have a wonderful winter and may Santa bring you some nice, warm, soft, gorgeous Classic Short Boots!
